Clinton County Convicted Child Predator Pleads Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

Sunday, July 13, 2025, 7:15 A.M. ET. 3 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

SYRACUSE, NY.- Last Tuesday, a 45-year-old Au Sable Forks, New York man, and a previously convicted sex offender learned he could be facing up to 100 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of federal child pornography offenses.

According to U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone, III, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Anthony Deyoe, 45, of Au Sable Forks, New York, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of Child Pornography; one count of Receiving Child Pornography; and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.

According To Charging Information Filed With The Court

According to charging documents and statements made in the District Court, Deyoe admitted that in June of 2024, he exchanged digital images and video files containing the sexual exploitation and abuse of children with other users of an online social networking application installed on his cellular phone.

Deyoe further admitted that in December of 2024, during a search by law enforcement Investigators, he possessed numerous digital images and video files of child pornography on the same cellular device. Deyoe also admitted to committing these offenses after previous convictions in New York State Court, one in 2008 for third-degree committing a criminal sexual act, and in 2018 for promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Deyoe Scheduled Sentencing In November 2025

Following entering his guilty plea on Tuesday, the court accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for November 5, 2025, in Federal Court in Utica, New York. At that time, Deyoe faces a mandatory minimum of fifteen years and up to 40 years in federal prison on each count of receipt and distribution of child pornography. For the count of possession of child pornography, Deyoe faces a mandatory minimum of ten years and up to 20 years in federal prison. Deyoe also faces a fine of up to $250,000, at least 5 years, and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and will also be required to continue his sex offender registry.

At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Deyoe’s prior criminal history.

U.S. Attorney Warns That Protecting Children Is His Top Priority

U.S. Attorney Sarcone stated, “Protecting children is my top priority. I am thankful to Homeland Security Investigations and the New York State Police for their partnership and assistance in bringing this defendant to justice. Every child should feel safe, and my office will do whatever it can to make sure that happens.”

The case was investigated by members of Homeland Security Investigations with assistance from the New York State Police and members of the Tri-County Special Response Team, which is made up of law enforcement officers from Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties.
