Man Struck By Gunfire Early Tuesday Morning In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Paterson Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Unit are continuing the investigation into a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in the City of Paterson, New Jersey, after a man had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, shortly around 1:45 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center after receiving a report that a shooting victim had arrived at the medical center, requesting treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police Respond To Hospital After A Man Arrives With Gunshot Wound
Upon arrival, Responding Police Officers were met by a 38-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man who had sustained a gunshot wound. Following interviewing the victim, Responding Police Officers and Detectives determined that the man was struck by gunfire near the intersection of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street in the City of Paterson.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the investigation into the circumstances which led up to the shooting.
