Man Charged In Camden & Gloucester Township Shootings

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Thursday, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAuly reported that on Monday, July 21, 2025, following an investigation, a 29-year-old Camden, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed, after being charged in connection with two shootings that occurred last Sunday night and early Monday morning in Camden an Gloucester Township, New Jersey.
According to the charging documents, on Sunday, July 20, 2025, shortly after 8:30 p.m., members of the Camden County Police Department responded to Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after receiving a report that a 48-year-old Camden, New Jersey, man had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for multiple gunshot wounds. The man underwent surgery and remains in stable condition.
Following an interview with the victim, Detectives determined that the man was struck by gunfire on the 1200 Block of Lansdown Avenue in the City of Camden. Detectives were able to find evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.
In a separate incident, on Monday, July 21, 2025, just minutes after 5:30 a.m., members of the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting at a residence located on the Unit Block of Brookshire Road in the Township. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 34-year-old Gloucester Township, New Jersey, man inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police Officers Identify And Detain Reddick As The Suspect
Based on a description provided by the victim, Police Officers detained a suspect, identified as Kenneth W. Reddick, 29, of Camden, New Jersey, a short distance away from the Gloucester Township shooting scene. During the ensuing investigation, Detectives determined that Reddick was the individual responsible for both shootings.
Detectives Formally Charge Reddick
Accordingly, later in the day, on Monday, July 21, 2025, Reddick was taken into custody and formally charged with two counts of first-degree Attempted Murder; two counts of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; two counts of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Reddick was additionally charged with third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child due to a one-year-old child being present inside the Gloucester Township home at the time of the shooting.
Reddick was processed on the charges and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending future court proceedings in Camden County Superior Court, in Camden, New Jersey. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion with the court to detain Reddick pending trial.
