Woman Sexually Assaulted Saturday Night In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Detectives of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the physical and sexual assault of a woman that occurred on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the City’s Paulus Hook neighborhood.

     According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esth Suarez, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, just shortly after 11:30 p.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a sexual assault on Sussex Street in Jersey City.

Police Officer Learn The Woman Was Attacked As She Entered Her Home

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a woman who reported that as she was entering her home, she was attacked by an unknown man who physically and sexually assaulted her. The woman was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries.

     No arrests have been made as Police continue their search for a suspect. The assault is actively being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department.
