Teenagers Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Last Night In The City Of Clifton

CLIFTON, NJ.- Detectives of the Clifton Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of two 18-year-old Clifton, New Jersey, men who were struck by gunfire late Tuesday night in Clifton, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, just minutes before 11:00 p.m., members of the Clifton Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Third and Foster Streets in the City of Clifton.
Police Officers Find Man Shot
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, identified as an 18-year-old resident of Clifton, New Jersey, having sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where he underwent treatment for his injury.
Police Officers Learn Second Man Arrives At The Hospital
Shortly before 11:30 p.m., members og the Clifton Police Department were notified that a second 18-year-old Clifton, New Jersey, man had arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey, requesting treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The second man was later transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Detectives Determine Both Men Were Shot At The Location
Based on the initial investigation, Detectives and Responding Police Officers determined that both men were shot near the intersection of Third and Foster Streets, and Officers and Detectives found evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests or charges have been filed at this time.
