Gloucester County Man Pleads Guilty To Producing Child Pornography

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- According to Cloucester County Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns, on Monday, July 28, 2025, Kevin Tomafsky, 43, of Washington Township, New Jersey, an aide to New Jersey’s former Governor Chris Christie, appeared in Gloucester County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge John C. Eastlack, Jr., to one count of first-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, for Production of Child Pornography.

     In return for the guilty plea, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Tomafsky be sentenced to ten years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to a five-year period of parole ineligibility. In addition, upon his release from prison, Tomafsky will be subject to parole supervision for life and be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law restrictions.

Judge Eastlack Scheduled Sentencing For September 12, 2025

     Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Eastlack accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for September 12, 2025, in Gloucester County Superior Court. At that time, Tomafsky will be sentenced to the terms of the negotiated plea agreement.

     The guilty plea stems from an investigation that began on December 14, 2022, when Tomafsky was taken into custody after a court-authorized search warrant was executed at his Washington Township, New Jersey, residence. During the search, Detectives of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit located and seized multiple electronic devices. A subsequent forensic examination of the devices uncovered hundreds of digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.

     During further investigation, Detectives determined that Tomafsky produced child pornography of a preteen girl engaging in oral sex with an adult.
