Investigation Results In Two Being Charged In Illicit Massage Business

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Last Thursday, following an investigation, a 67-year-old Flushing, New York, man and a 43-year-old woman were taken into custody and charged in connection with operating an illicit massage parlor located on Route 46 in the Kenvil section of Roxbury Township, New Jersey.

     According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, during an investigation into alleged prostitution activities, Investigators determined that Bumsuk Lee, 67, of Flushing, New York, the owner of the New Paradise Spa in Kenvil, New Jersey, operated an illicit massage business and received proceeds that were generated as a result of commercial sex acts perfomed at the business by various employees.

     On Thursday, July 24, 2025, members of the Roxbury Township Police Department, with the assistance of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, executed court-authorized search warrants at the New Paradise Spa and Lee’s Flushing, New York, residence. During the search, investigators located and seized records indicating commercial sex acts and a large sum of U.S. currency.

Lee Charged With Prostitution And Money Laundering

     During the searches, Lee was taken into custody and charged with second-degree Money Laundering; and third-degree Promoting Prostitution. Lee was detained by the New York City Police Department and lodged under a fugitive from justice at Rikers Island pending extradition to New Jersey. Additionally, Sujin “Rose” Huh, 43, was charged with a Disorderly Persons Offense with Engaging in Prostitution. Huh was processed on the charge and released on a summons complaint pending future court proceedings.
