BUFFALO, NY.- A 36-year-old Jamestown, New York, man, and a convicted child predator, will be spending the next three decades in federal prison, after being sentenced on Friday for engaging in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old child and producing digital images and video files of child pornography.

According to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo, on Friday, August 1, 2025, Roberto Millan, 36, of Jamestown, New York, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara to 360 months in federal prison, to be followed by 20 years of supervised release for his conviction of Production of Child Pornography.

According To Court Documents

According to the charging documents filed in the District Court, beginning on December 28, 2021, and lasting through February 8, 2022, Millan engaged in sexually graphic conversations with a 15-year-old child over TextNow, a mobile phone instant messaging application. The conversations included Millan demanding and instructing the child to take sexually explicit digital images and video files and send them to him.

In addition, at the time of Millan’s arrest, a court-authorized search of Millan’s cellular phone uncovered that many of the messages exchanged indicated that Millan had engaged in sexual contact with the victim.

U.S. Attorney DiGiacomo commended the investigative work of the Jamestown Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which resulted in the successful prosecution of Millan.
