Man Fatally Gunned Down Late Monday Night In Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 38-year-old Northwest, D.C., man who was found fatally gunned down late Monday night in Northwest, D.C., as gun violence continues to spiral out of control in the Nation’s Capitol City.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A Smith, on Monday, August 4, 2025, just minutes before 10:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District responded to multiple reports of a shooting on the 1300 Block of Otis Place in Northwest, D.C.

Police Officers Find Northwest, D.C. Man Shot Dead

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Cordarall Allen Horne, 38, of Northwest, D.C., unresponsive, having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Horne was subsequently pronounced deceased by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Service. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made, as Detectives continue the search for a suspect or suspects and a motive for the shooting death of Mr. Horne.
