Wayne Drug Peddler Pleads Guilty To West Virginia Federal Narcotics Offense

HUNTINGTON, W.VA.- A 35-year-old Wayne, Michigan, man will be facing up to 20 years in federal prison when sentenced later this year, after pleading guilty yesterday to distributing controlled substances earlier this year in Huntington, West Virginia.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa G. Johnston, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Adrian Demetrius Ludaway, also known as “A1,” 35, of Wayne, Michigan, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Robert C. Chambers to Distribution of Controlled Substances, Fentanyl, and a Substance Containing Methamphetamine.
Ludaway Scheduled For Sentencing In December
After entering his guilty plea, Judge Chambers accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for December 1, 2025. At that time, Ludaway faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine.
According To Court Documents
According to charging documents filed with the District Court, on February 27, 2025, during a narcotics investigation, Ludaway sold around 28.5 grams of methamphetamine and just around 6.79 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant in Huntington, West Virginia. During his plea allocution on Tuesday, Ludaway admitted to selling the controlled substances to the confidential informant and arranging the sale beforehand.
   Acting U.S. Attorney Johnston commended the investigative work of the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which led to the arrest and Ludaway’s guilty plea on Tuesday.
