Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- A 37-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man remains hospitalized after being struck multiple times by gunfire Sunday morning in the Riverside neighborhood of Paterson, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdez, on Sunday, August 24, 2025, shortly before 6:00 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Putman Street in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.

Upon Arrival, Police Officers Find Man Shot Multiple Times

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene and a 37-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man, having sustained multiple non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported by Paterson Fire and Emergency Medical Services to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. 

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported as Detectives continue the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting and continue the search for the gunman.
