Epping Child Predator Pleads Guilty To Live-Streaming Child Sexual Acts

CONCORD, NH.- A 46-year-old Epping, New Hampshire, man will be facing up to life in prison when he is sentenced later this year, after pleading guilty last Tuesday, for purchasing live-stream video files of the horrific sexual exploitation and abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children from the Philippines.
According to U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, David Mendum, 46, of Epping, New Hampshire, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Paul Barbadoro to a criminal information charging Coercion and Enticement of a Minor to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity.
Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Barbadoro accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for November 25, 2025. At that time, Mendum faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to life in federal prison, at least 5 years, and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
According To The Charging Information Filed With The District Court
According to the charging information filed with the District Court, during an online investigation into child sexual exploitation, Mendum was identified as paying child sex traffickers in the Philippines to create live-stream child pornography video files and transmit the video files to him over the internet.
   U.S. Attorney Creegan commended the investigative work of the Homeland Security Investigations, the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Epping Police Department, which led to the apprehension and last Tuesday’s guilty plea by Mendum.
