Manchester Man Charged With Child Sex Crimes

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Thursday, following an investigation into alleged child sex crimes, a 34-year-old Whiting, New Jersey, man, employed with the Hamilton Township School District, was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with inappropriately touching a preteen child under his care.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, Darnell Williams, 34, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township, New Jersey, has been formally charged with second-degree Sexual Assault; second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and second-degree Official Misconduct.
Williams Was Taken Into Custody On Thursday
Williams was taken into custody on Thursday, August 28, 2025, by members of the Hamilton Township Police Department. He was processed on the charges and remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending future court proceedings in Atlantic County Superior Court in Mays Landing, New Jersey.
Investigation Uncovers Alleged Child Sex Crimes
The charges stem from an investigation that uncovered that on February 21, 2025, while employed by the Hamilton Township School District, Williams allegedly touched an intimate part of a child who was under the age of thirteen, while the child was under his care, and he maintained a supervisory role of the child.
The investigation was conducted by Detectives of the Hamilton Township Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
