Montgomery County Man Sentenced For Methamphetamine Trafficking

PHILADELPHIA, PA.- A 42-year-old King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, man, and local Montgomery County meth dealer will be spending over fifteen years in federal prison after being sentenced on Thursday for possessing over 50 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in his vehicle.
According to U.S. Attorney David Metcalf, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, Jelani Christmas, 42, of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Joel H. Slomsky to 200 months in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release after previously pleadeding guilty to a federal drug trafficking charge.
Christmas, who was initially federally charged in April of this year, appeared in Federal Court in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in June 2025, and pleaded guilty to one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.
According To Court Documents
According to court documents filed and statements made during his June plea allocution, Christmas admitted that he was involved in trafficking large quantities of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine, in Eastern Pennsylvania, specifically throughout the Montgomery and Bucks County areas in 2024.
During A Search Warrant, Investigators Find Over 5o Kilograms Of Meth
On August 14, 2024, during the investigation, Federal, State, and Local law enforcement Investigators obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant on a van operated and owned by Christmas. During the search, Investigators uncovered a hidden compartment in the van, which contained around 111 pounds of methamphetamine.
   U.S. Attorney Metcalf commended the investigative work of the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, which led to the successful prosecution of Christmas.
