JERUSALEM, IL.- Another devastating terror attack unfolded this morning at the Ramot Junction in northern Jerusalem during the morning rush hour, resulting in six fatalities and at least a dozen injured, according to Israeli emergency services and official reports.

The Incident;
At approximately 10:13 a.m., two gunmen launched a mass shooting at a busy bus stop and on a No. 62 bus at Ramot Junction—a key entry point into Jerusalem near Jewish settlements. Reports describe shattered glass, chaos, and victims lying unconscious along the road and sidewalk as emergency paramedics arrived on the scene.
An on-site soldier—part of a newly formed ultra-Orthodox military unit—and a civilian reportedly returned fire and fatally shot the attackers. The Israel Police quickly declared the incident a terrorist attack.
Casualties and Medical Response;
- Deaths: six victims were killed at the scene, and two died after being transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
- Injuries: At least 12 people were wounded, with seven in serious condition, and others in moderate or mild states. Hospitals, including Shaare Zedek, Hadassah-Ein Kerem, and Hadassah-Mount Scopus, treated multiple casualties.
Perpetrators and Aftermath;
Authorities identified the attackers as West Bank Palestinians from villages near Ramallah—locations such as al-Qubeiba and Qatanna. In response to the attack, Israeli security forces launched operations and imposed closures, particularly around Palestinian villages near Ramallah, amid heightened concerns about further violence or explosive threats.
Hamas, while not claiming direct responsibility, praised the attack as a “heroic operation,” urging West Bank Palestinians to escalate confrontations with the occupation and settlers.
Broader Context;
This attack marks the most serious terrorist incident in Jerusalem since the November 2023 Givat Shaul shooting, where combined assailants killed three civilians, and one armed bystander was mistakenly shot by responding soldiers. The 2025 Ramot Junction shooting underscores the ongoing volatility and fragility of security in the city amid the broader Israel–Gaza conflict.
