Northern West Virginia Trio Sentenced For Methamphetamine Trafficking

ELKINS, W.VA.- On Wednesday, a Northern West Virginia trio and convicted felons appeared in Federal Court in Elkins, West Virginia, and were each sentenced for their roles in possessing and distributing quantities of methamphetamine within the Northern District of West Virginia, specifically the Barbour, Randolph, and Pendleton County areas.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, all three appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and were each sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Thomas S. Kleeh for their guilty pleas to federal drug trafficking crimes.
All Three Were Sentenced For Selling Meth
Judge Kleeh sentenced Cody Ray Robinson, 32, of Belington, West Virginia, to 120 months in federal prison, to be followed by a term of supervised release, after pleading guilty to Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. Robison has previous felony convictions for drug trafficking and petit larceny.
Additionally, Judge Kleeh sentenced Emily Ann Swecker, 34, of Coalton, West Virginia, to 110 months in federal prison, to be followed by a term of supervised release, after pleading guilty to Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. Swecker has prior felony convictions for drug trafficking offenses.
Also on Wednesday, Judge Kleeh sentenced William Charles Wilson, also known as “BJ Wilson,” 40, of Franklin, West Virginia, to 51 months in federal prison, to be followed by a term of supervised release, after pleading guilty to Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. Wilson has prior convictions for domestic battery, assault, and multiple drug offenses.
The Three Were Identified As Meth Dealers
   According to court documents, during a joint investigation into the distribution within the Northern District of West Virginia, Investigators of the Mountain Region Drug Task Force, the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force, the West Virginia State Police, and the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office identified Robison, Swecker, and Wilson, respectively, for their roles in distributing methamphetamine within Barbour, Randolph, and Pendleton Counties.Â
