One Dead, Three Injured In Early Saturday Morning Northwest Stabbing

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding an early Saturday morning, Northwest, D.C., altercation that turned deadly, leaving one man dead and three others injured.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, just shortly before 4:00 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a report of a stabbing on the 2000 Block of 14th Street in Northwest, D.C.
Upon Arrival, Police Officers Find A Man Stabbed
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, unconscious and on the ground, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The man, later identified as Jermaine Foster, 34, of Northwest, D.C., was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Foster tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Detectives Learn Stabbing Was The Result Of A Fight
During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers and Detectives determined that the stabbing death of Mr. Foster occurred during an apparent large fight. Three additional individuals sustained minor injuries during the fight and drove themselves to an area hospital for treatment.
