Man Fatally Stabbed Monday Night In Northwest, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man that occurred during an apparent domestic dispute Monday night in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, September 15, 2025, just shortly before 7:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing on the 200 Block of Carroll Street in Northwest, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Devell Wade, 20, of Northwest, D.C., unresponsive inside an apartment complex, having succumbed to multiple stab wounds. Mr. Wade was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
Police Learn The Stabbing Death Is The Result Of A Domestic Dispute
During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers and Detectives determined that Mr. Wade was fatally stabbed during an apparent domestic dispute. The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests or charges have been filed at this time.
