Bergen County Man Charged With Physically Assaulting A Juvenile

PALISADES PARK, NJ.- Last Friday, following a nearly week-long investigation, a 35-year-old Palisades Park, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the alleged beating of a child in Palisades Park, New Jersey.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, a caseworker from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding alleged child abuse that had occurred in Palisades Park, New Jersey, and an investigation was launched.
Detectives Determine That Bush Assaulted The Juvenile
During the investigation, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Palisades Park Police Department found probable cause to believe that Donald L. Bush, 35, of Palisades Park, New Jersey, physically assaulted and abused a child in Palisades Park on or about Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Accordingly, following the investigation, on Friday, September 26, 2025, Bush was taken into custody and formally charged with one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; third-degree Aggravated Assault; and a Disorderly Persons Offense of Simple Assault.
Bush was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to detain Bush pending trial.
