BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Friday, a 43-year-old former Brick Township, New Jersey, man currently serving a parole violation sentence learned he would be spending an additional five years in New Jersey State Prison after being sentenced for possessing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.
According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Friday, October 3, 2025, Dennis Hubert, 43, formerly of Brick Township, New Jersey, and currently detained in New Jersey State Prison, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Dina M. Vicari to 5 years in State Prison for his previously entered guilty plea on May 9, 2025, to Possession of Child Pornography.
In handing down the sentence on Friday, Judge Vicari ordered that the sentence would run concurrently to his parole violation sentence he is serving on an unrelated matter. Upon release from prison, Hubert will be subject to parole supervision for life and be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law requirements.
Hubert Was Charged After Child Pornography Investigation
The guilty plea and Friday’s sentence stem from an investigation that was launched after the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office received a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force had received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an individual who was receiving and sending digital images and video files depicting child pornography.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad identified an IP address associated with a Brick Township, New Jersey, residence as the location from which the individual was utilizing the internet to receive and send media files depicting child pornography. Detectives were further able to identify Hubert as the individual.
On October 24, 2024, Detectives from the Ocean County High Tech Crime Squad, with the assistance of Federal and Local law enforcement agencies, executed a court-authorized search warrant at Hubert’s Brick Township residence. During that search, Detectives and Investigators seized Hubert’s electronic devices. An initial investigation at that time uncovered several items of child pornography. Hurbert was taken into custody and has remained in custody since that date. Â
