Former Atlantic County Teacher Charged With Additional Child Sex Crimes

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Earlier this week, a 34-year-old Manchester Township, New Jersey, man, formerly employed as a Hamilton Township, New Jersey, school teacher, and accused serial child sexual predator, currently detained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on child sexual assault charges, was additionally charged with inappropriately touching additional children.

     According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Monday, October 6, 2025, Darnell Williams, 34, of Manchester Township, New Jersey, was formally charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact; and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Investigation Uncovers An Additional Victim

     According to the Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the Manchester Township Police Department, and the Stafford Township Police Department determined that between 2020 and 2023, Williams inappropriately touched a minor girl in Manchester and Stafford Townships. As a result of the investigation, Detectives charged Williams on Monday, October 6, 2025, with the above charges.

     Williams was served with the charges at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he is currently being detained on three counts of Sexual Assault; three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and three counts of Official Misconduct, in connection with incidents that occurred in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

     On September 17, 2025, Williams was additionally charged with Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in connection with incidents that occurred in Manchester Township in 2013.

     On October 7, 2025, Williams was ordered to be detained on those charges by Ocean County Superior Court Judge Kimarie Rahill. A detention hearing on the new charges will be scheduled for a time and date to be determined by the Superior Court.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
