PLEASANTVILLE, NJ.- A 25-year-old Pleasantville, New Jersey, man will be facing up to five years in State Prison when sentenced early next year after pleading guilty last Friday, before an Atlantic County Superior Court Judge in connection with two violent domestic assaults that occurred earlier this year in Pleasantville, New Jersey.

According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Friday, October 10, 2025, Seth Carr, 25, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Joseph Levin to two counts of second-degree Aggravated Assault.

Carr Will Be Facing Up To 5 Years In Prison When Sentenced

In return for the guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Carr be sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, which will require Carr to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole. After entering his guilty plea, Judge Levin accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for January 30, 2026.

The guilty plea stems from two domestic incidents that began when, on April 17, 2025, members of the Pleasantville Police Department responded to a home located on Ridgewood Avenue regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers were informed by a female victim that Carr had strangled her until she began to lose consciousness. She further reported that, following being strangled, Carr continued to punch her repeatedly, causing him to fracture his hand.

Then again, just around a month later, on May 16, 2025, members of the Pleasantville Police Department responded to the Ridgewood Avenue residence regarding a second domestic assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers observed bruises on the woman’s head and face. The female victim advised Police Officers that Carr threw her to the floor and then continued to slam her head against the floor. The woman was transported to an area hospital, where she was informed that she sustained bleeding in her brain and a sternal facture.

Carr was taken into custody inside the residence and charged. Police have not reported the relationship between the victim and Carr.
