Police Charge Man In April 2025 Southeast Stabbing Death

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Wednesday, following an investigation, a 31-year-old Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the brutal stabbing death of a 31-year-old man that occurred earlier this year in Southeast, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, just minutes before 11:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing on the 1600 Block of V Street in Southeast, D.C.

Police Find Man Fatally Stabbed

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Michael Alanzo Jackson, 31, with no known address, unresponsive, on the ground, having succumbed to multiple stab wounds. Mr. Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

     During the ensuing investigation, D.C. Homicide Branch Detectives, based on witness accounts and area video surveillance footage, were able to identify the assailant as Christopher Taylor, 36, with no known address, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police Locate Taylor And Take Him Into Custody

     On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, pursuant to a DC Superior Court warrant, Taylor was located and taken into custody and charged with one count of second-degree Murder While Armed. Taylor was processed on the charge and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
