Man Fatally Stabbed Late Thursday Night In Northeast, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a 51-year-old man, whose lifeless body was found late Thursday night on Benning Road in Northeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, October 17, 2025, just shortly after 11:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a fight on the 1600 Block of Benning Road in Northeast, D.C.
Police Officers Find Man Fatally Stabbed
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Timothy Sistrunk, 51, with no known address, unresponsive, having succumbed to multiple stab wounds. Mr. Sistrunk was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made, as D.C. Homicide Branch Detectives continue the search for the assailant and a motive for the stabbing death of Mr. Sistrunk.
