Man Fatally Gunned Down Saturday Afternoon In The City Of Camden

CAMDEN, NJ.- Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Deparrment are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 29-year-old Camden, New Jersey, man who was fatally gunned Saturday afternoon on a Camden, New Jersey street.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, just shortly before 2:00 p.m., members of the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 1200 Block of Morton Street in the City of Camden.
Camden Police Officers Find Man Fatally Shot
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a gunshot victim, later identified as Bruce Dixon, 29, of Camden, New Jersey, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Mr. Dixon was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Dixon succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a shortly after arrival.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported, as Detectives continue the serach for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
