CAMDEN, NJ.- On Wednesday, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay reported that Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the body of a 48-year-old Deptford, New Jersey, man, who was murdered inside a Camden, New Jersey home in June 2025.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Harold “Hal” Miller, Jr., 48, of Deptford, New Jersey, was last observed on surveillance video footage entering a home located on the 2600 Block of Baird Boulevard in the City of Camden during the morning hours of June 12, 2025.

In September Detectives Charged Three In Connection With The Murder

Last month, Detectives formally charged Everton Thomas, 41, of Camden, New Jersey, with Mr. Miller’s murder. Additionally, Detectives charged Thomas’ wife, Sherrie Parker, 41, and his son, Deshawn Thomas, 23, both of Camden, New Jersey, for their roles in disposing of Mr. Miller’s body.

During the investigation, Detectives learned that Sherrie Parker and Deshawn Thomas purchased a chainsaw, containers, trash bags, and various cleaning supplies after Mr. Miller was observed entering the Baird Boulevard home, but never seen exiting the home. Additionally, area surveillance footage revealed Everton Thomas and his son, Deshawn, making several trips to the Tamarack Apartments dumpsters, loading containers, and trash bags into a vehicle before leaving the City.

Everton Thomas has been charged with first-degree Murder; second-degree Desecration of Human Remains; and fourth-degree Tampering with Physical Evidence. Sherrie Parker and Deshawn Thomas were each charged with second-degree Desecration of Human Remains; and fourth-degree Tampering with Physical Evidence. All three remain detained in the Camden County Correctional Facility pending trial in Camden County Superior Court in Camden, New Jersey.

“We’re asking for the public’s help in locating the body of Mr. Miller so we can bring answers to his grieving family,” said Prosecutor MacAulay. “Any information, no matter how small, could be the key to bringing them peace and helping us deliver justice. The family has suffered enough; it’s time to help bring their loved one home.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jake Siegfried of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit at (856) 225-5086 and Detective Andrew Mogck of the Camden County Police Department at (609) 519-8588.
