Detectives Actively Investigating The Death Of Homeless Man

SAYREVILLE, NJ.- Detectives of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Sayreville Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a homeless man, whose lifeless body was found Tuesday afternoon outside a Sayreville, New Jersey, mini-mall.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, just minutes after 2:00 p.m., members of the Sayreville Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unresponsive man on the side of a mini-mall located on Ernston Road in the Parlin section of Sayreville.
Police Officers Find Homeless Man Deceased Outside Mini-Mall
Upon arrival, Police Officers located the man, identified as Dhirubhai A. Patel, 72, a homeless man, unresponsive. Mr. Patel was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. The Cause and Manner of death are pending the findings of the Medical Examiner’s Office. According to law enforcement officials, there is no danger to the public at this time.
