Cherry Hill Man Charged With Attempting To Lure A Child For Sex

CHERRY HILL, NJ.- On Monday, a 62-year-old Cherry Hill, New Jersey, alleged child predator was taken into custody and jailed after being criminally charged following an undercover sting for attempting to meet a 14-year-old boy to allegedly engage in a sexual encounter in a local park.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Monday, October 27, 2025, Nimrod Lasman, 62, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Attempted Child Luring; and one count of second-degree Attempted Sexual Assault. Lasman was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings in Camden County Superior Court in Camden, New Jersey.
According To The Charging Information
According to the charging information filed in the criminal complaint, on Monday, October 27, 2025, Lasman began communicating through an Instant Messaging application with a person he believed was a 14-year-old boy, who was actually an undercover Investigator from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit.
During the conversation, Lasman enticed who he thought was the 14-year-old boy to meet him in the park to engage in illicit sexual activity. Later on Monday, when Lasman arrived at the Cooper River Dog Park in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cherry Hill Police Department quickly apprehended and placed Lasman under arrest.
