Police Charge Man In Monday Afternoon’s Chase Bank Robbery

BRADLEY BEACH, NJ.- On Monday, a 30-year-old Eatontown, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with a robbery that occurred earlier that afternoon in Bradley Beach, New Jersey.
According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, Demauriea A. Gray, 30, of Eatontown, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of first-degree Robbery. He was processed on the charge and was remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending future court proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court in Freehold, New Jersey.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, on Monday, October 27, 2025, just shortly before 3:00 p.m., members of the Bradley Beach Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Chase Bank located on the 500 Block of Main Street in Bradley Beach.
Upon arrival, Police Officers learned from bank employees that a man had entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled the bank with over $10,000 in cash.
Following swift action by the bank’s employees, an investigation was initiated involving members of the Bradley Beach and Avon-by-the-Sea Police Departments, along with assistance from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Red Bank Office. During the swift-moving investigation, law enforcement identified Gray as the suspect. Gray was apprehended a short time later by members of the Bradley Beach and the Avon-by-the-Sea Police Departments without incident and formally charged.
