Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Friday Morning In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Paterson Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Unit and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding an early Friday morning shooting that left a 31-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man hospitalized from a gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, October 31, 2025, at around 4:15 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Summer Street and 21st Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Police Officers Find Man Suffering From A Gunshot Wound
Upon arrival, Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene and a 31-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported by Paterson Fire and Emergency Medical Services to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he underwent treatment for his injury.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
