Camden Man Charged With Fatally Gunning Down His Brother On Saturday

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Saturday, a 28-year-old Camden, New Jersey, man, and a previously convicted felon was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with fatally gunning down his older brother earlier that day, on a Camden, New Jersey, sidewalk.

     According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, Anarkis Delgado, 28, of Camden, New Jersey, was formally charged with first-degree Murder; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Delgado was additionally charged with one count of second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.

     The charges stem from an investigation that began on Saturday, November 1, 2025, when, just shortly after 11:00 a.m., members of the Camden County Police Department responded to reports of a person being shot on the 500 Block of Pearl Street in Camden City, New Jersey.

Police Officers Find Man Shot On The Sidwalk

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Raymond Delgado, 29, lying on the sidewalk, unresponsive from gunshot wounds. Mr. Delgado was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased around 12:30 p.m.

     During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department quickly determined that Raymond Delgado was fatally shot by his brother, Anarkis Delgado, who fled the scene after shooting his brother, Raymond.

     Later on Saturday, Anarkis Delgado surrendered himself to the Camden County Police Department, where he was formally charged, processed, and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings in Camden County Superior Court in Camden, New Jersey.
