Teen Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Paterson Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Unit and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred early last night in the City of Paterson, which left a teenager hospitalized from a gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, November 2, 2025, just shortly before 6:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Matlock and Temple Streets in the City’s 1st Ward.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a teen suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The teen was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The teen’s condition was not reported. During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests were reported as Detectives continue their search for the gunman.
