WASHINGTON, DC.- On Wednesday, a 15-year-old Washington, D.C., boy was taken into custody and detained after previously being charged in a D.C. Superior Juvenile Custody Order for his role in a strong-arm robbery that occurred in early last month in Northwest, D.C.

According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, and as previously reported, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at around 7:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a robbery on the 1400 Block of Girard Street in Northwest, D.C.

The Victim Reported That He Was Robbed In The Lobby Of The Building

Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim, who reported that while inside the lobby of an apartment building located on Girard Street, he was approached by two teenage suspects who assaulted him and demanded his money and personal property. One of the teenage suspects said they were armed, but the victim did not see a weapon. The victim complied, and the suspects fled from the building’s lobby.

Based on a description provided by the victim and building an area surveillance camera footage, Detectives were able to identify one of the suspects, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

     On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, pursuant to a D.C.
