MILLVILLE, NJ.- A 35-year-old Vineland, New Jersey, man will be facing three decades in New Jersey State Prison when sentenced early next year after pleading guilty last Thursday in Cumberland County Superior Court in connection with the October 26, 2024, mid-morning Millville, double shooting that claimed the life of a 41-year-old mother of five and left a 32-year-old man critically injured.
According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Eric Bundy-Johnson, 35, of Vineland, New Jersey, appeared in Cumberland County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Cristen P. D’Arrigo to one count of first-degree Murder; first-degree Attempted Murder; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Bundy-Johnson Will Be Facing Three Decades In State Prison
In return for the guilty plea, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Bundy-Johnson be sentenced to 30 years in State Prison. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Bundy-Johnson will be required to serve the entire 30 years of imprisonment. Following entering his guilty plea, Judge D’Arrigo accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for January 9, 2026.
The guilty plea stems from a double shooting investigation that began on October 26, 2025, when, just shortly after 10:30 a.m., members of the Millville Police Department responded to reports of gunfire outside a convenience store located on East Green Street in Millville, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man and a woman in a parked vehicle outside the store, each suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, the woman, identified as Bonnie Hitchens, 41, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. The man was treated for critical injuries and has since made a full recovery.
During the investigation, Detectives of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and the Millville Police Department developed information linking Bundy-Johnson as the shooter, and a second individual, identified as Francesca Delvalle, 35, also of Vineland, New Jersey, as being involved in the shooting. Both Bundy-Johnson and Devalle were taken into custody and charged. The indictment charging Delvalle for her involvement in the murder remains pending trial.
