According to U.S. Attorney Moore Capito, on Monday, November 17, 2025, Konner Wolfe Lyons, 35, of Huntington, West Virginia, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Robert C. Chambers to Receipt or Attempted Receipt of Child Pornography.
Lyons Could Be Facing Up To 20 Years In Federal Prison
Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Chambers accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for March 2, 2026. At that time, Lyons faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offense and Lyons’ prior criminal history, if any.
According to the charging information filed with the court and statements made, on September 24, 2023, Lyons utilized an online peer-to-peer file-sharing network to download 464 digital media files containing child pornography. During Monday’s plea allocution, Lyons admitted to downloading the files and that the media files contained the sadistic and masochistic sexual abuse of young children.
Lyons further admitted that on September 2, 2024, he utilized an online peer-to-peer file-sharing network to download six digital media files containing child pornography. Lyons also admitted that the files depicted children engaging in sexually explicit conduct and that he downloaded them using an internet connection.
Lyons Possessed Over 1,500 Digital Images Of Child Porn
On September 4, 2025, law enforcement Investigators obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant at Lyons’ Huntington, West Virginia, residence. During the search, Investigators seized his cellular phone. A subsequent forensic examination of the cellular phone uncovered 1,546 images of child pornography. Additionally, during Monday’s plea allocution, Lyons admitted that a majority of the images were cached files, generated when he previously used his cellular phone to download child pornography.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
