Bridgeton Man Charged With Distribution & Possession Of Child Porn

BRIDGETON, NJ.- On Thursday, following an investigation, a 27-year-old Bridgeton, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged with allegedly distributing and possessing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children over an online Instant Messaging application.
According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Stephen Pritt, 27, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
Pritt was taken into custody on Thursday, during the execution of a court-authorized search warrant of his Cohanesy Street home in the City of Bridgeton, New Jersey. He was processed on charges and was remanded to the Cumberland County Jail pending future court proceedings in Cumberland County Superior Court in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to detain Pritt pending trial.
Charges Are The Result Of An Online Child Porn Investigation
The charges stem from an investigation that began when members of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received credible information that an individual within the Cumberland County, New Jersey, area was sharing digital images and video files of child pornography over the Kik Instant Messaging application.
During the investigation, Detectives were able to identify an IP address associated with a Cohansey Street address in Bridgeton. Further investigation led to Pritt being identified as the account owner and living at the Cohansey Street residence.
