Woman Struck By Gunfire Early Sunday Morning In The City Of Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- A 22-year-old Passaic, New Jersey, woman was hospitalized after she was struck by gunfire early this morning, after gunfire erupted in the Central District of the City of Passaic, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, November 23, 2025, just shortly after 2:00 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Monroe Street in the City of Passaic.
Police Officers Find Woman Suffering From A Gunshot Wound
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting and a 22-year-old Passaic, New Jersey, woman suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The woman was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, for treatment of her injury and is expected to make a full recovery.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported as Detectives of the Passaic Police Department, in conjunction with Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, continue the search for the suspect and a motive for the shooting.
