HAMILTON, NJ.- Earlier this month, following a two-month investigation into the distribution of cocaine within the Hamilton Township, New Jersey, area, a 42-year-old Hamilton, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed, and his 31-year-old girlfriend was also taken into custody, and both were charged with multiple narcotics and weapons offenses.

According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, on November 6, 2025, following a two-month investigation, Detectives of the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Ewing, Hamilton, and Trenton Police Departments executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence of Hedtson Perez, located on the 200 Block of East Franklin Street in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.

During The Search, Detectives Seize Cocaine, Guns, And Drugs

During the search, Detectives located and seized 326 grams of suspected cocaine, a Beretta Model 92X handgun, an H&R Arms revolver, and assorted drug paraphernalia and narcotics packaging materials from a second-floor bedroom of the home. In the basement of the house, Detectives located and seized an additional 800 grams of suspected cocaine, a Springfield .45-caliber handgun, assorted ammunition, a suspected silencer, digital scales, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Detectives uncovered a Smith & Wesson 28mm handgun and assorted ammunition stashed in a dresser drawer in another bedroom that appeared to be a child’s bedroom. Detectives further located and seized around $43,000 in cash, in denominations consistent with narcotics distribution, and additional ammunition scattered throughout the residence.

Accordingly, on November 6, 2025, following the execution of the search warrant, Perez, 42, was taken into custody and formally charged with multiple first-degree narcotics and weapons offenses and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion, which the court granted, to detain Perez pending trial.

Perez’s girlfriend, Lisbeth Acevedo-Lara, 31, also of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, was apprehended a few days later on a warrant complaint charging her with multiple narcotics and weapons offenses. Acevedo-Lara’s custody status was not reported.

According to Prosecutor Marbrey, the approximate street value of the seized cocaine is $56,300.
