VINELAND, NJ.- Last Wednesday, following a swift-moving investigation, a 26-year-old Vineland, New Jersey, man, and every parent’s worst nightmare, was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly sexually assaulting two children, including one under the age of thirteen, and video recording the assaults to create video files of child pornography.
According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, members of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received credible information that homemade child pornography was being manufactured and shared on the internet from a location within Vineland, New Jersey.
Within hours, Detectives were able to identify an IP address associated with a Delsea Drive residence in Vineland, New Jersey. Further investigation led to Christopher Singletary, 26, being associated with the IP address. The investigation further uncovered that Singletary had sexually assaulted and video-recorded two children and that he had further communicated with other juveniles online via the Instant Messaging application Snapchat, ultimately sexting and receiving sexually explicit self-produced images of the other children.
Accordingly, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Singletary was taken into custody and formally charged as follows:
For crimes committed against Victim 1, a child under the age of thirteen, Singletary was formally charged with one count of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; second-degree Sexual Assault; first-degree Manufacturing Child Pornography; second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
For crimes committed against Victim 2, a child between the ages of thirteen and sixteen, Singletary was formally charged with fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact; first-degree Manufacturing of Child Pornography; second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
For crimes committed on unidentified victims, Singletary was formally charged with second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; a nd two counts of third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
Singletary was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Cumberland County Jail pending future court proceedings in Cumberland County Superior Court in Bridgeton, New Jersey. If convicted at trial, due to the nature of the charges and the aged crimes being committed on multiple victims, Singletary faces up to life in New Jersey State Prison.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with additional information regarding Singletaey’s activities is being urged to contact Detective Kyle Mecouch of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office at (856) 332-4379 or CCPO.TIPS.
