Mahwah Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

MAHWAH, NJ.- On Tuesday, following an investigation, a 28-year-old Mahwah, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly possessing thousands of digital images of video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of young children.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, following an internet child pornography investigation, Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence of Quinn T. Dickson, 28, of Mahwah, New Jersey.

Detectives Uncover Over 5,000 Media Files Of Child Porn

     During the search, Detectives uncovered that Dickson had utilized the internet to view, download, and possess over 5,000 media files containing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children.

     Accordingly, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, during the execution of the search warrant, Dickson was taken into custody and formally charged at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey, with one count of second-degree Possession of Child Pornography. He was processed on the charge and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

If Convicted, Dickson Faces A Decade In State Prison

     If convicted at trial, Dickson faces up to ten years in New Jersey State Prison. In addition to a term of imprisonment, Dickson would be subject to parole supervision for life and would be required to register as a sex offender pursuant to Megan’s Law restraints.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
