Charges And Arrest Warrant Stems From A November Shooting
The charges stem from an investigation that began on November 7, 2025, when, just shortly before 5:30 p.m., members of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a multi-shot ShotSpotter activation on the 800 Block of Arkansas Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 15-year-old with the initials J.S., suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds. J.S. was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Facility, where, despite life-saving efforts, J.S. succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later. Police Officer also located a 17-year-old with the initials M.P., suffering from a gunshot wound to his face. M.P. was also transported to AtlantiCare Medical Facility for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department were able to identify Jackson as the suspect and the individual responsible for the shooting death of J.S. and the shooting of M.P., and a warrant was issued for his arrest, which led to Federal Agents tracking him to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
