Police Charge Man In Monday Afternoon Northeast, D.C. Strong-Arm Robbery

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Wednesday, a 48-year-old Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with a robbery that occurred on Monday afternoon in Northeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, December 1, 2025, shortly around 3:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Department responded to a report of a robbery on the 1500 Block of Maryland Avenue in Northeast, D.C.
Police Officers Learn The Victim Was Assaulted And Robbed
Upon arrival, Police Officers located an injured victim, who reported to Police Officers that while on Maryland Avenue, he was approached by a suspect, who was later identified as Dominic Hilliard, 48, of Northeast, D.C., who assaulted him, knocking him to the ground, and then forcibly removing his money and other items from his pockets. Following robbing the victim of his money and property, Hilliard fled the scene.
The victim was transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Hilliard was located, taken into custody, and formally charged with one count of Robbery by Force. He was processed on the charge and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
