Marlboro Township Man Pleads Guilty To Narcotics Charge

MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A 51-year-old Marlboro Township, New Jersey, man, and local drug dealer on parole, will be facing 10 years in New Jersey State Prison when sentenced next year, after pleading guilty earlier this month to possessing with intent to distribute a large quantity of an illicit narcotic.
According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, on Monday, December 8, 2025, Christopher Johnson, 51, of Marlboro Township, New Jersey, appeared in Monmouth County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley to one count of second-degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance in Excess of One-Half Ounce.
In return for the guilty plea, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Johnson be sentenced to a term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison. Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Oxley accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for February 6, 2026.
   The guilty plea is the result of a narcotics investigation, when on December 3, 2024, Monmouth County Law Enforcement Investigators executed a court-authorized search warrant at Johnson’s motel room at the Marlboro Motor Lodge, as well as Johnson’s person. During the search, Investigators located and seized over 20 grams of cocaine along with quantities of heroin and fentanyl. During the search, Johnson, who was on parole at the time, was taken into custody and charged.Â
