New Brunswick Fatally Struck While Crossing Roadway Early Saturday Morning In Old Bridge

OLD BRIDGE, NJ.- Investigators are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred early Saturday morning in Old Bridge, New Jersey, claiming the life of a 30-year-old New Brunswick, New Jersey man.

     According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estemera, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, just shortly before 1:30 a.m., members of the Old Bridge Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle in front of Quality Chevrolet on Route 9 South in Old Bridge.

Police Officers Find Man Fatally Struck By A Vehicle

     Upon arrival, Responding Police Officers discovered the lifeless body of Davon Porter, 30, of New Brunswick, New Jersey, having succumbed to injuries after being struck by a vehicle. Mr. Porter was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

     During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers determined that while Mr. Porter was attempting to cross Route 9, he was struck by a Honda CR-V being operated by a 30-year-old Manalapan, New Jersey, man. The Honda and the driver remained at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests or charges have been reported by authorities.
