Man Found Dead Sunday In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department are continuing the investigation into the death of a 35-year-old man, whose lifeless body was found on Sunday in the Southside of the City of Paterson, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive man with signs of physical injury in the area of 15th Street and 6th Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered the body of Alexis Viveros-Callejas, 35. Mr. Viveros-Callejas was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
