Two Hospitalized After Being Struck Thursday Afternoon In Kearny, New Jersey

HARRISON, NJ.- Investigators of the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office are continuing the investigation into a crash that injured two pedestrians, Thursday afternoon in a Hudson County Park in Harrison, New Jersey.

     According to Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m., members of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of two men being struck by a vehicle on Woodland Drive in West Hudson Park in Harrison, New Jersey.

     Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Officers located a 48-year-old man and a 58-year-old man, both of Kearny, New Jersey, suffering from injuries after they had been struck by a vehicle. Both men were immediately transported to University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, where they remain hospitalized in serious condition. After striking the two men, the driver and vehicle remained at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests or charges have been filed as of Friday afternoon.
