LAKEWOOD, NJ.- Last Friday, a 67-year-old Lakewood, New Jersey, man was sentenced to a decade in New Jersey State Prison for distributing digital images and video files of the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.

According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Friday, January 30, 2026, Christopher Brondi, 67, of Lakewood, New Jersey, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Kenneth T. Palmer to 10 years in State Prison for his previously entered guilty plea to Distribution of Child Pornography.

In handing down the sentence, Judge Palmer ordered Brondi to serve a mandatory minimum of five years before becoming eligible for parole. Additionally, Brondi will be subject to parole supervision for life and will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law registration restraints.

The guilty plea and sentence stem from an investigation that began when Investigators of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad identified an IP address associated with a residence located in Lakewood as a location in which a person was uploading digital images of child pornography to the internet. Investigators ultimately identified Brondi as the person.

On May 29, 2024, Investigators and Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant at Brondi’s Lakewood residence. During the search, Investigators seized multiple electronic devices. During an initial forensic examination, Investigators uncovered hundreds of media files containing the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. Brondi was taken into custody and charged at that time.

Following an extensive forensic examination of Brondi’s electronic devices, Investigators uncovered that Brondi had shared child pornography on the internet utilizing a file-sharing program. Brondi appeared in Ocean County Superior Court on September 15, 2025, and pleaded guilty before Judge Palmer to the charge outlined in the negotiated plea agreement.
