Police Charge Man In Sunday Morning Northeast, D.C., Burglary

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Sunday, a 34-year-old Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody and charged after being charged in connection with breaking into a business earlier that day in Northwest, D.C., as Police continue the search for the second suspect.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, just shortly before 11:45 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a report of a burglary on the 2100 Block of 8th Street in Northwest, D.C.

Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that two suspects had unlawfully entered the business and stole items before fleeing the scene.
Following reviewing security camera footage, Responding Police Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby. Accordingly, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, Patrick David Brewer, 34, with no known address, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Burglary. He was processed on the charge and was detained pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
