Washington Township Duo Charged Following Narcotics Investigation

WASHINGTON, NJ.- Last month, following a months-long investigation into the distribution of heroin throughout the Warren County, New Jersey area, Alicia M. Todd, 29, and Jamie L. Tompkins, 47, both of Washington Township, New Jersey, were taken into custody and jailed after being each charged with multiple narcotics offenses.

     According to Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Todd and Tompkins were each charged with one count of third-degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Heroin; third-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance; third-degree Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; and third-degree Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

     Both Todd and Tompkins were processed on the charges and were remanded to the Warren County Correctional Center pending future court proceedings in the Warren County Superior Court in Belvidere, New Jersey.

     On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, following an extensive months-long investigation, Detectives of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Washington Township Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Washington Township residence of Todd and Tompkins.

     During the search, Detectives located and seized evidence consistent with the possession and distribution of heroin. In addition, Todd and Tompkins were taken into custody during the search and formally charged.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
