Authorities Seize Cocaine, Heroin, Prescription Drugs, Firearm, & $25,000 In Cash Following Coordinated Raids In Toms River & Brick Township

TOMS RIVER/BRICK, NJ.- Five Ocean County, New Jersey residents have been charged following an extensive, multi-agency investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics and related weapons offenses, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced.
According to Prosecutor Billhimer, detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force worked in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force–Red Bank, the Toms River Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit, K-9 Unit, and Special Enforcement Team, as well as the Berkeley Township Police Department, Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, and Brick Township Special Emergency Response Team.
Long-Term Investigation Uncovers Multiple Distribution Sites;
The months-long investigation identified two residences and a hotel room in Toms River, along with a residence in Brick Township, allegedly being used to store and distribute illegal narcotics throughout Ocean County.
Authorities identified Tyrese Lett, 25; Kylah Parks, 28; and Rameek Peace, 38, all of Toms River, along with Kyle Murrin, 39, of Brick Township, as the primary individuals involved in the alleged narcotics operation.
February 19, 2026, Surveillance And Arrests;
On February 19, 2026, Detectives established stationary and mobile surveillance at the identified locations in Toms River and Brick Township. During the operation, investigators observed Lett operating a motor vehicle in the Lakehurst area with Parks as a passenger.
Law enforcement conducted a motor vehicle stop, taking both Lett and Parks into custody without incident.
Following the arrests, detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team executed court-authorized search warrants on Lett’s vehicle and a hotel room in Toms River.
Significant Drug And Cash Seizure;
As a result of those searches, investigators seized:
- Approximately 49 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 70 grams of crack cocaine
- 16 bricks of heroin
- Morphine, alprazolam, and oxycodone pills
- Drug paraphernalia consistent with distribution
- Approximately $25,000 in U.S. currency
Additional Arrests And Weapons Discovery;
Later that same day, Detectives observed Peace leaving his Toms River, New Jersey, residence and walking in the area of Route 37. He was taken into custody without incident.
The Toms River Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit then executed court-authorized search warrants on the two subject residences in Toms River. During those searches, detectives recovered a Kel-Tec 9mm firearm.
Also present at one of the residences was Moises Martinez, 36, of Toms River. Martinez was taken into custody without incident and charged with Certain Persons Not to Possess a Firearm. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains lodged pending a detention hearing.
Brick Township Search Yields Additional Narcotics;
Simultaneously, detectives and officers assigned to the Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Brick Township residence.
That search resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 20 grams of codeine
- Hydrocodone pills
- Drug paraphernalia indicative of narcotics distribution
Murrin, who was present at the residence, was taken into custody without incident.
Criminal Charges Filed;
Prosecutors announced the following charges:
Tyrese Lett was charged with:
- Possession of five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of more than one-half ounce but less than five ounces of heroin with intent to distribute
- Conspiracy to possess five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of cocaine and heroin
- Possession of oxycodone, morphine, alprazolam, and amphetamines
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Financial facilitation
Lett was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains lodged pending a detention hearing.
Kylah Parks was charged with identical narcotics, conspiracy, possession, and financial facilitation offenses. Parks was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released pursuant to New Jersey Bail Reform guidelines.
Rameek Peace was charged with:
- Distribution of cocaine
- Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of cocaine
- Conspiracy to possess five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute
- Certain Person Not to Possess a Weapon
Peace remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Kyle Murrin was charged with:
- Possession of hydrocodone pills with intent to distribute
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Maintaining a nuisance
Murrin was served with the charges by summons and is scheduled to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
Moises Martinez was charged with Certain Persons Not to Possess a Firearm and remains in custody pending court proceedings.
Prosecutor Emphasizes Regional Cooperation;
Prosecutor Billhimer credited the investigation’s success to coordinated efforts by local, county, and federal agencies, emphasizing that multi-jurisdictional collaboration remains critical to disrupting narcotics distribution networks operating in Ocean County.
The investigation remains ongoing.
